Oak Cliff Methodist Church

A recorded Texas Historical Landmark, The Oak Cliff Methodist Church has a long standing history of overcoming adversities since its original gathering of 1886, to its first completed construction beginning in 1894. Lack of funds in the early 1900s, the sanctuary having a devastating fire in 1958 and present day 2023, the extremely desolate but absolutely beautiful place as it stands. In 2023, this became Proxy's newest and largest project to date. The chapel consists of two stories, a full basement, attached 3 story building along with a separate two story free standing building. Recreating its new chapter will include a mix of commercial and residential units while maintaining as much of the historical aspect of the original building is a delicate balance to most but must and utmost top priority.
